The sun has finally made an appearance in Melbourne, Australia, after a winter that doesn’t seem to want to end. Melburnians might often say that it’s “freezing” but in reality the temperature here is really very mild.
Nevertheless, I would rather be experiencing the European winter where the snow makes everything look so pretty…
and yet blue sky and sunshine are never far away.
And in a town the size of Argenton sur Creuse, France, the roads get cleared regularly so you are never house-bound.
Not that we ever were – at every opportunity we would be off, trudging through the snow, taking photos, and I’m sure the neighbours thought that we were quite crazy.
Apparently global warming equals Mediterranean cooling, so winters in Argenton sur Creuse are sure to produce snow more regularly.
And that’s fine with us – now that we’ve got our central heating fixed, but I will tell you all about that in my next post.
