New friends

We’re usually content with our own company when travelling, but were happy to spend a few fun-filled days with French friends recently, who we got to know through my fellow-Francophile sister in Australia (a rather crazy story of my brother-in-law pouncing on them when he heard them speaking French in Australia, which I won’t go into here – but I have to say it was hilarious hearing the other side of the story… after all, aren’t we all a little bit suspicious of someone who seems to be stalking us when we’re in a foreign city?) but it inspired me to post these photos of more “new friends” we met along the way – although none of them were very talkative…

My knight in shining armour

Which witch is which?

Stony faced

Why won’t you talk to me?

One for the road

Maybe we just weren’t speaking the right language?

  1. Lovely whimsical post. It’s fun collating thematic photos; looks like you enjoyed the mini-break.
