Local sights

It was lovely to take time out from renovating when my son and his girlfriend visited us and show them a couple of the gorgeous sights just minutes away from Argenton sur Creuse:

Château du Courbat in Le Pêchereau – just a tiny castle…

… but complete with moat…

… and currently used as the village’s town hall!

And the beautiful artist’s village of Gargilesse

… which was once home to George Sand – a female writer in the 19th century…

… and the fortified Castle of Gargilesse with it’s imposing entrance.
