The smallest room

To renovate the smallest room in the house (the toilet) took quite a few processes.

Initially we just had the old cracked toilet and the asbestos pipes replaced.

However there was a whole lot more work to do, which we have now finished…

Removed the toilet, replaced the rotted floorboards, and enclosed the pipes:

Attached plasterboard, plastered the joins, and sanded:

Stained and varnished the floor (couldn’t achieve quite the right colour to match the one original floorboard left… but lucky we’re not going for perfection)

Decided to leave the wallpaper, but obliterated the blue (took a few coats of paint, and ended up resorting to using the woodwork paint on the walls.)

Re-installed the toilet and voilà!
