Down south

Since coming back from our trip down south it’s been a little bit hard to get motivated again and get back into our renovations, but better to have a few days to recover – especially from our last very long day, but more about that later.

In the meantime, here are a few more pics from our time down at Hyères on the Côte d’Azur…

Loved the marina (Port Saint-Pierre) area just a couple of minutes walk from where we stayed:

The colours of the Mediterranean are just beautiful (though the beaches are stony):

Did a spot of fishing from the rocks – no luck but fun anyway:

Enjoyed the atmosphere of local markets and Hyères ‘old town’:

Did some ‘accidental rockclimbing’ when I navigated us to a lookout (Fenouillet) I found on the map.  The spectacular views were worth the effort:

Also enjoyed the sights on La Presqu’ile de Giens:

How exciting for me to get my first comment from someone I’ve never met! You will see that I am just a baby at blogging, so constructive criticism welcome! And I’ll be following your blog with interest too 🙂
