Cornice Queen

I have completed the cornice in the lounge and retained my title as the “Cornice Queen” as dubbed last year by my sister when she and her husband visited us and gave us a hand with our renovations.

I just love the polystyrene cornice you can get here – to my knowlege not available in Australia. It’s so easy to handle:  just cut with a kitchen knife, with the aide of a mitre box, and glue up with polystyrene glue. I have learnt to be generous in the application of the glue, which doubles as a filler, as it’s much easier to scrape off the excess than fill in the misses. Just finish off by wiping with a damp rag.

After one or two errors in cutting created a bit of waste I was glad to still have just enough cornice to complete the room. Job done 🙂

A demain peut-être?
